WHAT IS RAR?
Rock
Alaska Records is a fully digital audio capture, mixing and
mastering audio studio based in Juneau, Alaska. We are an
artistic endeavor to help Original Alaskan Rock Acts get some
recording experience under their belt, and release their music
for local radio airplay or web distribution. Rock Alaska Records
also creates original soundtrack and theatrical sound effects.
We are not limited to any constraints other than the audio
or music must be originally written or created by the artist
or by ourselves. Our studio has the capabilities of capturing
a whole band, or an individual. Although our services are
not free to everyone, we do take on a considerable amount
of volunteer, flat rate, and colaberative projects. RAR is
in the business of making art...not money. Don't have a full
band for your CD? No problem. RAR can help fill in the gaps
to complete any project, no matter what state your group is
in. Need soundtrack material and sound effects outside of
the Juneau area? No Problem. RAR can post source files right
on our website for downloading, listening, approval and distribution
purposes. As always, mixing and mastering of tracks is always
included with your rented studio time. So if you think RAR
can help you out with your CD, movie, theater or audio project...please

A Big thanks to Juneau Arts and Humanities Council for approving RAR for a small grant to help get our new studio space underway. hAx studio is currently under construction and is in partial working order. Thanks to our newly granted funds we will have much needed walls and soundproofing. Check back for updates.
